The new German Sparkly Collection is unlike anything we have ever seen. We thank William Foster at K.Dale Coturnix for making this collection available through Southwest Gamebirds and for his help with our breeding program which has now achieved jumbo weights in over 30 varieties from this collection. If you're looking for something striking to add to your flock, the German Sparkly Collection is a winner on all fronts for meat, eggs, and aesthetics.

The Sparkly gene appears to amplify almost any color or plumage pattern without decreasing bird size. This is a unique color collection not only for its beauty and rarity, but also due to its jumbo size. The gene has a striking effect on varieties like Italian, Pearl Fee, Falb Fee, and even wild type. Pearl Fee Sparkly and Italian Sparkly become speckled on the entire bird, Falb Fee Sparkly males exhibit grey, brown, or peach tones through the ventral plumage, which is normally fully diluted, and wild type Sparkly males exhibit a deep brown diamond pattern on the ventral plumage, which is normally solid copper. The more we study the sparkly gene, the more it impresses us.

What to expect: An assortment of colors drawn from over 30 varieties, including several never seen before in the US, and most of which will achieve jumbo weights.

The breeding quintet includes four (4) females and one (1) male, which is our recommended ratio for breeding.  The displayed price for the breeding quintet is for five (5) birds, and the displayed price for males and females is per bird.
