Several genes interact with each other to create this collection. Extended brown provides the brown base for the Rosetta and Tibetan Tuxedo Quail. Dotted White creates Pied and Tuxedo variations, while Range and Roux dilute the brown and add a rust color to the outside edge of the brown feathers. We love the brown and red tones in this collection and consider them a must for any collector. While most plumage colors are lighter than the wild type or dilute the brown tones, This collection is generally darker than wild type birds, giving a lovely contrast to a mixed pen or aviary.
Tibetan Tuxedo Quail from this collection produce 8-12 oz birds that lay 12-14 gram eggs.
What to expect: 10-20% of this collection will have tuxedo or Pie markings, 10-20% will have pure Tibetan Quail coloring, and the remainder will be mostly bearded Tibetan or Rosetta or an occasional Dotted White.
