Italian is the result of the Fawn mutation. This lightens the plumage, and changes the pattern giving a beautifully unique looking bird that is a must-have for any mixed flock. While Italian is not a variety that will breed true, we have curated our breeder groups with Golden Manchurian Males and Jumbo Brown females, which allows for the hatching eggs to produce 100% Italian. If you’re looking to add Italian to your flock and like a nicely sized bird, our Italian Jumbo Cross is the perfect choice.
What to expect: Our Italians should hatch 100% true, but will not breed true after the first generation. While it is possible for Italians to carry recessive traits, we have not observed this in our flock.
We ship all Italian quail eggs with care in custom foam for insulation and protection during transport. The post office can be unpredictable, but this shipping method gives your eggs the best chance of maintaining viability, and we always include extra eggs free of charge when available. If eggs are damaged during shipping, contact us regarding a claim with the post office. If eggs appear undamaged but do not hatch, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do our best to make it right. Our goal is to make you happy with high quality eggs, fast shipping, and good customer service
