We are no longer selling hatching eggs to the public, but have left the following listing active to keep information available to our customers and to other sellers. Many of our lines are now available from Thieving Otter Farm.
We also have adult birds for sale, available here.
If you have purchased eggs from us before, we thank you for supporting our farm and our research. We are shifting focus from hatching eggs to our coaching program: Quailology. Some of the members of this program have already taken on the responsibility of maintaining several of our bloodlines in order to make them available to the public going forward, and we look forward to supporting these farms in the years to come. The following is our historical product description:
Named after the customer who initially envisioned this mix, Holly's Mix has been our most-requested "secret menu" item for a few years. Holly's Mix consists of several feather-sexable varieties that reach jumbo weights. This mix is derived from the German Sparkly Collection, keeping the calm disposition, impressive size, and great overall health and conformation that the German Sparkly Collection is known for, but without the Sparkly gene which can make feather sexing confusing for beginners. Plumage varieties in this mix may include Falb Fee, Golden Manchurian, and Pearl Fee. In subsequent breeding generations, you may also get Pharaoh and Italian from this mix.
What to expect: A mix of feather-sexable plumage varieties which may include Falb Fee, Egyptian, Italian, Golden Manchurian, Pearl Fee, and Pharaoh. We've kept a fairly large gene pool from the original German Sparkly Collection, so other dilutions may also appear but they have not been observed in our flock selected as breeders. Each of the varieties included in this mix should reach jumbo weight and be acceptable as a dual purpose meat and egg bird comparable to other production lines.
We ship all Holly's Mix hatching eggs with care in custom foam for insulation and protection during transport. The post office can be unpredictable, but this shipping method gives your eggs the best chance of maintaining viability, and we always include extra eggs free of charge when available. While we cannot guarantee your hatching success, we are more than willing to assist with any incubation or shipping related issues, so feel free to contact us at any point of your quail journey if you have questions or concerns about your eggs. Our goal is to make you happy with high quality eggs, fast shipping, and good customer service.
