Autumn Amber Quail are a beautiful alternative to wild type birds for those looking to add to their collection or to raise quail for eggs. Autumn Amber quail carry the Roux mutation, which is responsible in part for their light caramel plumage. They can also be used to set up sex-link breeding groups if desired, so that chicks can be feather sexed at hatch.
Autumn Amber Quail are an 8-12 oz bird that lays 12-14 gram eggs.
What to expect: Our Autumn Amber eggs produce mostly Autumn amber and Best Manchurian, which are almost indistinguishable to the untrained eye. When bred for further generations, they may produce the occasional Egyptian. While other recessive mutations are possible, we have not observed them in our flock.
We ship all Autumn Amber Quail eggs with care in custom foam for insulation and protection during transport. The post office can be unpredictable, but this shipping method gives your eggs the best chance of maintaining viability, and we always include extra eggs free of charge when available. If eggs are damaged during shipping, contact us regarding a claim with the post office. If eggs appear undamaged but do not hatch, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do our best to make it right. Our goal is to make you happy with high quality eggs, fast shipping, and good customer service.
